I took a drive today
Coming upon another red light

An elder person
Across the street from me
Just another homeless human being
As I waited for a green light
This shit box van pulled up
The lady gave the person
A blue jacket because they had none
She handed some cash
From the lips
It looked like
God Bless
Then drove off
It's ironic
Those with nothing themselves
Seem to be the ones helping the most
He walked along
Holding a black garbage bag
Wearing a blue jacket
Recently acquired from another's generosity
A tattered cardboard sign
Tucked under his arm
Just another person
Who disappeared into the crowd
